Why abroad is central here
My career did not end when I left the country where I built it.
I moved my family, our lives, and 4 dogs to Spain. The move was not powered by a magical remote job or a perfectly passive business. It required us to look at our skills, income, risk, legal options, family needs, and what could keep working if the original plan changed.
Abroad is not the whole definition of portability. It is where I had to prove the strategy was real.
That is why so many people find me when they are thinking about another country. The question underneath the move is usually bigger. What in my career actually belongs to me, and can I build a life with it somewhere else?
